His rise began at Sodus High School, where he led the Sodus Spartans to a perfect 27–0 season and a New York State Championship in 2005. That year he helped secure both a league title and the state title, becoming one of the key figures in the program’s history. He earned first team All–New York State honors, was named State Championship MVP, and collected numerous “Player of the Week” awards.

Working Hard on the Court and in the Classroom The graduating Class of 2011 helped lead the next generation of Canisius College basketball to new levels as the Golden Griffins won 15 games in back-to-back seasons for the first time in over a decade. The group took care of business in the classroom as well, with all five players receiving their undergraduate degrees from the College in three years. Canisius was the only Division I men’s basketball team in the country last year to have all of the seniors on the active roster fully working toward their master’s degrees. From 2007 to 2011, Greg has played Division I basketball at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York, with the Golden Griffins. A three-time team captain, he earned deep respect from coaches and teammates. Over 123 games, he totaled 1,200+ points and 750+ rebounds, ranking among the program’s top rebounders and elite scorers. His career included All-MAAC honors, Mid-Major All-America recognition, and multiple academic awards for excellence on and off the court.
